Romans 12:1 (The Message)Daniel Hopkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18042986748312402146noreply@blogger.comBlogger53125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1873429994192882223.post-33034211382517509302011-05-31T09:58:00.003-05:002011-05-31T10:16:44.041-05:00Books... OOOO A butterfly!I actually finished a book and it wasn't a requirement! For me this is a big deal when ever it happens. I've read and finished plenty of books that I were required to read because of school or work assignments... but when it comes to just picking up a random book, especially if it's not fiction, I rarely finish it. It's not that I don't like reading... but seriously I don't like reading! Also when it comes to books it's like I have A.D.D. or something. I'll start a book and really enjoy that first part but then I'll see a shiny new cover of another book. "OOOOOO! I want to read that instead!" And then there's times when I'm reading and I start thinking about other things and imagining I'm a space commander and the fleet need my skills or we'll face certain doom from the evil space pirates and I need to save a pretty girl etc... not that I've imagined that before ;)

So there have been many a book that I have started, loved, and NEVER FINISHED! But today marks a special day. I finished a book! It took waaaay longer than it should have, especially since the book is meant to be read in 40 days... I honestly don't remember when I started so... It was that long ago. The book was "Stronger" by Brian "Head" Welch. It was a really good book and an easy read full of lots of stories from his life. Some made me laugh, some made my jaw drop, some reminded me of myself.

Now what? Oh yeah... start another book. Any suggestions?Daniel Hopkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18042986748312402146noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1873429994192882223.post-39805621661738814672011-05-16T09:53:00.003-05:002011-05-16T10:39:09.150-05:00SilenceWhat do you do with it? Silence I mean... Some people enjoy the quiet silence that comes to them by just sitting around in it doing nothing. Others can't stand it! They can't stand that awkward silence so they fill it something: music from their iPod, radio, etc. or maybe watch TV even if there's nothing of any real interest on. Some just don't like complete silence.

I grew up in the city and by "in the city" I mean IN the city! The city is loud. You can hear trains banging together, police sirens speeding by, guns shots in the distance, "baby-momma-drama" (if ya don't know what that is don't ask). It's loud! I never noticed how loud it was until I spent the night at my grandma's house when I was a kid. I remember laying down but I just couldn't get to sleep. I soon realized why: It was sooooooo quiet! I wasn't used to it at all.

Most of us now-a-days are used to a lot of noise in our lives. We wake up to the annoying noise of an alarm clock, we listen to music or talk radio on our way to work, we listen to music while at work (if you're like me), we watch our TV shows and movies, we have the noise of our kids... and not to mention the noise of construction work, horns honking, other people, etc. I think if we looked back on history, we may be the noisiest people in the history of the world.

Now to my point. All the noise we have in our lives is why a lot of us, myself included, can't stand complete silence. Yet many times Jesus Christ went off to a quiet or silent place to meet with God. Some of us do this from time to time. We go and pray and ask God to move and speak to us... But have you ever just sat in complete silence waiting on God to move or speak? Many times in Psalms we see moments of silence. Psalms like "...Meditate in your heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah." Psalm 4:4 See that word? Selah? It was a quiet musical interlude where there was no talking or singing or speaking. Just sitting there, quiet, waiting.

So silence. What do we do with it? Make time for it and enjoy it! We need to have some "selah" moments in our lives and most of the time we are the ones who are going to make them happen. What I mean is if we don't plan those Psalm 4:4 moments we will most likely be consumed and distracted by all this noise around us. So, have you had your "selah" moment today? I think I'll go do mine right now...Daniel Hopkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18042986748312402146noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1873429994192882223.post-18370218869393994262011-04-28T10:54:00.005-05:002011-04-28T11:44:00.596-05:00I'm fine... Really I am"If a fellow believer hurts you, go and tell him - work it out between the two of you. If he listens, you've made a friend." Matthew 18:15

How many of us have been hurt by our friends or fellow believers? How many of us have told those friends that we weren't hurt? This isn't the way it should be. First of all I'd like to think we can all live by Ephesians 4:29 but unfortunately that's not always the case.

Have you ever been joking around with a friend and then they (or you) take it one step too far? They say something that really hurts you in a personal way. Yet most of the time you say nothing. You don't tell them that they hurt you, that they offended you... you just sit there and think all day about how mean they were being.

Believe me I've been there and am there a lot! But man, it's just not right! That verse above says it all: If you're hurt, don't keep it to yourself! I have from time to time hurt people with my words. I joke around a lot. First let me say if I've hurt YOU I am sorry. That was most likely not my intent. Second, if I or anyone for that matter has hurt you GO TO THEM!!! Don't let it turn into something so much bigger than it should be.

Jesus said the world will know we follow Him by how much we love each other (John 13:35). Yet many times we are caught offended, angry, and hurt by our bro's and sisters... In fact most of the time we tell everyone about our offense except the person who offended us. They usually never know or find out through the grape vine. Once again going back to the verse above we see that we should go to someone who hurts us and be honest about it.

Nothing makes me more frustrated than when someone gets really hurt and then when asked, "Hey did I hurt you?" they answer saying, "No... I'm fine... Really I am." I'm telling you: that is a cancer that will grow and grow until it consumes every part of you! Unfortunately I have experienced this from both sides.

Bottom line is this... in fact I can't put it better than the way Jesus said it so again: "If a fellow believer hurts you, go and tell him - work it out between the two of you. If he listens, you've made a friend."

Please follow this and let's stand together!Daniel Hopkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18042986748312402146noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1873429994192882223.post-24255399141536363132011-04-12T13:04:00.002-05:002011-04-12T13:21:59.504-05:00Salad!!!So I am like to worst blogger EVER!!! It has once again been over a year since my last post! What's up with that? Not that I have 100,000 people that have been wondering where I am or anything... But hey even if its just me talking to myself here I am. Oh hello there me! (Ok enough of that)

SALAD!!! I have been absolutely CRAVING SALAD for awhile now. Today I made one and as my mom always says, "YUM-O!!!" It was so much better than I had imagined! The first bite was amazing. The crunch, the freshness, the lettuce, the grape tomato's, the chicken! I could go on and on! And hey don't laugh. I'm serious. It was incredible. So good in fact I may have it again tomorrow! SALAD!

I too am curious why I'm going crazy for salad... I mean, I rarely eat it and I never crave it EVER. So why have I been craving it then? Am I getting old?! Oh no! Joy did find a gray hair when she was cutting my mo-hawk last night. LOL... I honestly hope that this craving continues because it tasted so good and its good for you!

No real point. Now I know that some might expect me to do what all pastors do: Take an ordinary story and do a Jedi mind trick and give you a sermon out of it! Well... sorry to say that won't be the case here. I just wanted to simply say I loved my salad and YOU NEED TO GO EAT ONE RIGHT NOW BECAUSE IT'S SO AMAZING! (Whoa, must of bumped the caps lock button)

Love,
Daniel "Feeling like Sparkles" Hopkins!Daniel Hopkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18042986748312402146noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1873429994192882223.post-16696069040362594472010-04-01T12:52:00.002-05:002010-04-01T12:59:40.095-05:00News...Youtube: So I guess I'm putting some vids up on youtube... go! watch! like! subscribe! that's all

Band: still don't have a band name... its kinda a bummer but we can't seem to come up with a good one. We really like the word and/or theme of "surrender" but who knows... The ones that we come up with that don't sound like metal bands sound waaaaay too campy and cheesy. So someday we will have a name... Wanna help? Make a suggestion!

Saturday: You can come worship with us this Saturday! We'll be at
Briarcliff Chapel
1251 NW Briarcliff rd
Its going to be outdoors under a tent so come on over and see us!

Sorry if this post seems like a bunch of bullet points lol...

DHopDaniel Hopkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18042986748312402146noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1873429994192882223.post-50821824847938401372010-03-18T11:15:00.002-05:002010-03-18T11:26:54.383-05:00We're a Band! That's right... its all but official: I'm officially, unofficially starting a band! Wait... wah?

Ok so I'm starting a band with two guys from the worship team at the Mardi Gras outreach! I'm really excited about this next step I'm taking. Those who know me well know I've wanted this for a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time! There's still a few details we'll hammer out this weekend (that's why its not completely "official") like our heart and what we want to get out of the band, a name for the band, and vision. But I'm pumped! We already have a place that wants to have us play worship for a few outreaches! More details to come plus once we get a name (may take some time) we'll make a myspace and facebook fan page!Daniel Hopkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18042986748312402146noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1873429994192882223.post-44368937227289197122010-02-23T07:54:00.003-06:002010-02-23T08:16:21.212-06:00An old journal entryI have no idea where this came from but today I found a random page on my office floor when I came into work. It was an old journal entry (written on a random sheet of paper... not actually in a journal). So I thought I'd share it with you today:

March 6, 2008
As I was singing "I Lay Me Down" by Darrell Evans, I began to feel a change in my head and body. When I got to the end of the song I was crying out, "AND FREEDOM WILL BE THE SONG OF MY HEART!" I started to feel chills run up and down my spine and the pain that was in my neck disappeared!

Then I saw a vision of Jesus, my Savior, my best friend, begin to rip off layers of what looked like rotten hamburger but it was hard as rock. It was Jesus tearing away the layers of rejection, bitterness, anger and unforgiveness! I kept singing and singing and He kept tearing and tearing!

When I finished, I litterally felt a weight had been lifted from me! Praise God for He is great! Then I felt led to Psalm 32:7 it says, "You are my hiding place; you will protect me from trouble and surround me with songs of deliverance. Selah"

Praise God!!! I then found an old song I wrote called "The Pieces of my Heart" (its about the rejection I've felt) God told me to rip it up! He said, "you don't need that song anymore; FREEDOM is now the song of your heart!" Amen & Amen

Never forget

Wow God is still so good! I love that verse: "...and [He] will surround me with songs of DELIVERANCE." God's freedom is something I find difficult to put into words... it is so amazing! Well I hope this post encouraged you and remember FREEDOM IS THE SONG OF YOUR HEART!

Soli Deo GloriaDaniel Hopkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18042986748312402146noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1873429994192882223.post-75530630832691619102010-02-04T10:01:00.004-06:002010-02-04T10:44:50.175-06:00Music... Christian musicWe've come a long way in Christian music... I mean a long way! Yesterday a friend of mine and I were watching (REALLY) old Christian music videos from "back in the day"... Unfortunately not all of the videos let alone the songs have held up over time (If you wanna see some ummm... classic DC Talk go to youtube and look up the song "Heaven Bound" haha!). But anyway...

When I was a kid I always felt like Christian music, especially Christian rock, was always one step behind. You'd pop in some White Cross or Petra and be like, "Yeah! Rock on!" and then you'd hear of this band called Metallica (no I'm NOT a fan) and their sound would BLOW any Christian metal band out of the arena!
Plus at one time the best Christian rap song was "Who's in the House" by Carman. Come on you know the song!

I don't think it was all the artists fault either. The music industry in general wasn't very accepting of Christian music... You never saw ANY christian bands on the top of MTV's music charts or anyone else's charts. Now obviously no one could touch our worship music but then again only Christians would want to.
There was a time that if you were admitted that you were a Christian band, you were pretty much only going to popular in Christian circles, not that there's anything wrong with that. Maybe you've heard of the band Evanescence. This story I'm going to share with you is straight from Amy Lee's mouth so don't doubt me (and no I don't think you'll find it online).

Amy told a friend of mine, who was her tour bus driver and a good man of God, that when they signed with Wind-up records that their new record company told them that if they were to admit that they were Christians and that in fact some of their songs were about God, that it would be career suicide and Evanescence would NEVER "make it". So they hid this fact... and the rest is history.

But we've come from that, a record company telling a band to hide their faith, to a time where just a few years ago an openly Christian band called Switchfoot had the #1 song and music video in both Christian AND secular circles! And then there's bands like P.O.D. and so many more that are breaking the message of Jesus Christ into peoples daily lives... and they're NOT shy about it! Praise God!

I'm not trying to criticize ANY Christian music artists. What many artists, like Carman and White Cross and Petra, did for the Christian music industry is amazing! Thank God for them! I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm so glad that people in ALL circles of life are hearing the amazing music that comes out of a love for God and not selfish pride... and so many more people are hearing the Gospel and that is truly a work of God!

Soli Deo GloriaDaniel Hopkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18042986748312402146noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1873429994192882223.post-57552945621481232222010-02-02T10:25:00.004-06:002010-02-02T10:49:26.609-06:00'ello world! So I guess this is an attempt to start blogging again. I know... my blog posts have usually had many months in between each other but that is something I'll try and remedy. So what to blog about? HAHA I'll think of something...

I guess I'll for this first REAL blog post in a very long time I'll reiterate what Worship With My Life is all about. It's pretty clear by the verse Romans 12:1 and by my profile what I'm trying to say. Have we really lived out this verse though? When taking this verse into mind I'm sure at times my "life song" has been a bit off key if not down right out of tune at times!

I love what verse 2 says as well: "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect."
Don't fit in so easily to your culture... Change what you think is normal... by changing the way you think... so we can know what God wants from us... because what He wants from us is GOOD, ACCEPTABLE and PERFECT! That last part reminds me of how some people are almost afraid to truly pray, "God, YOUR will be done NOT mine..." But God's will is awesome and more perfect than what we can imagine.

Sadly, I see many Christians who fit way too easily into the worldly culture around them. From the music in their iPod's; to the movies they LOVE; to the way they talk and dress... But what does 2 Corinthians 6:17 say again? "Therefore, COME OUT FROM THEIR MIDST AND BE SEPARATE," says the Lord. "AND DO NOT TOUCH WHAT IS UNCLEAN ; And I will welcome you.

Soli Deo Gloria!Daniel Hopkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18042986748312402146noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1873429994192882223.post-27236825633091770372009-11-23T08:46:00.002-06:002009-11-23T08:48:53.655-06:00Whoa! I have a BLOG?!?Yeah so I haven't written on this blog thing in a long time... Not much of a blogger I guess...

All I have to say right now is God is good all the time, all the time God is good!Daniel Hopkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18042986748312402146noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1873429994192882223.post-49178379875902795122009-01-19T16:11:00.003-06:002009-01-19T16:28:16.617-06:00I Don't Know What To Put Here For This Post...Man I'm tired. I've been fasting today so I'm a little out of it. My hands are kind of shakey right now so I'm probably not going to blog for long. I can't believe how fast this month has gone by. Thursday we meet with Doug to put the final touches for the Mardi Gras outreach and the "roster" together. I have to admit that I mainly go to this meeting for the fellowship. Doug is a great guy and really fun to be around. I do have a few issues that have to be addressed for the trip but nothing major.

But first before Thursday comes tomorrow night. Obama will be sworn in and I'm sure everyone will be talking about it at my youth group. Seeing as opinion varies from person to person about him at my church, and most churches for that matter, it will probably be an interesting evening to say the least.

Gotta say this. GO CARDS!!! I think it's really awesome that the Cardinals are going to the Superbowl and its even cooler that Kurt Warner, a really strong and outspoken man of God, led them there. I hope they win it because what a awesome story it would be. Of course no one gave them a chance to get this far and so far not many people are giving them a chance to win it all but we'll see. Well I'm tired so that's all for now... later I'll try and post some cool stuff I've been studying in the bible.

Pierced PastorDaniel Hopkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18042986748312402146noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1873429994192882223.post-12118642287134709642009-01-17T12:37:00.003-06:002009-01-17T13:03:14.480-06:00Date Night... and a little politics...YEESSS! Date night with my wife (who else?)! Tonight wifey and I get to go out on a kid free date! Oh thank you! I'm excited because we haven't been able to go out on a date since around last summer... sad, sad, sad... Our last "date" was in October though, but we didn't go out and it was not kid free and it was ruined by a gentleman whom which I will not talk about. Needless to say we're tired and overdue for a nice quiet date for just the two of us.

Man January is already half over! For me it has flown by. These past few days have been a little stressful for many reasons but I shalt go into them for many other reasons. Am I speaking in riddles? I guess I am.

So... what else can I blog about? Hmmm... Barak... no... lets not go there just yet... Ok I'll go there. I think its crazy how much people are "in love" with President-elect Obama. From people crying to people praise God. It crazy to me. I see that people have put so much if not all of their hope in Obama. Our hope should not be in a man. It should be in Jesus Christ. I'll put it this way: no man will EVER be able to permanently fix the problems you have. Only God almighty can do that. A personal example that I can take from my own life is the fact that God has provided for my family in these difficult financial times. God has blessed us greatly. He gave us a house. I'm 22 years old and a home owner. I was 20 when we bought our house! Every month we've been able to pay our mortgage, pay all of our bills, and have food on the table every meal (you can tell we have food because clearly I'm still fat! HaHa). A few people have wondered if I make a ton of money. The answer is NO. I make very little actually. Last year I made about 24,000. How do I get it? I give it away!
Every paycheck I give God a tithe (tenth) of what I made and I also give an offering on top of that. Now in my human mind it doesn't make sense to give away money to be more blessed but that;s God's way. The Bible tells us if we tithe (give a tenth of whatever we make) that God will pour out such blessings that they will overflow us! Praise God and to Him be the glory! I thank God that He has blessed my family so much and yes there are still some thing we need but I'm confident that God will supply them.

My hope? It's in Jesus Christ and nothing or no one else. I'm looking to Him in these hard times... not a mortal man.

Pierced PastorDaniel Hopkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18042986748312402146noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1873429994192882223.post-4835985517786228272009-01-12T20:30:00.002-06:002009-01-12T20:40:28.348-06:00Only Six Weeks Away?!?!?WHAT?! Six weeks?!? My church's yearly Mardi Gras missions is only six weeks away. I thought it was waaaaaaaaaaaaayy more time than that but it's all good. We are packed this year and there's a few fresh faces so I'm excited. But to tell you the truth I haven't thought too much about it. My main focus has been my youth group and our first meeting of 2009 which is tomorrow night.

Man the devil's been rolling in 2009 so far. So many people I've been talking to are have a rough start. But God is faithful and the victory is ours! Anyway I'm really watch TV now so no more blah blah blah...Daniel Hopkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18042986748312402146noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1873429994192882223.post-20846185839012155392009-01-06T16:19:00.003-06:002009-01-06T16:46:36.589-06:00Drippley thoughts...Man I haven't worked since last year! Yes today was indeed my first day back to the daily grinding stone since December 23. I was the first one in the office today so for the first few minutes I just sat there wondering, "What now? I'm here... at work... with almost no work to do..." So I'm actually glad it was an easy day for me with little to prepare for this week. I've been thinking about a lot of things to do in my youth group this year. Thinking about what worked last year... and ultimately what BOMBED abysmally. Ok so nothing went that bad... I don't think. We shall see what stays in my head and what leaks out like a drippley spout (yes I know drippley is not a real word but it's kinda fun to say. Go ahead... say it... out loud now... there you go).

So tax season is coming up! YEEEEAAAAHH! Yes I was serious. A lot of people hate tax season but I like it. Why? Cuz we get a check from the government for a lot o money! If you don't have kids... sorry. Cuz if you have kids you get more back! I knew they were good for something... just kidding. I remember my first tax return. I was so pumped! I was like, "Man I got lots of money back!" The "lots" of money was about $80... not a lot but I didn't care. SHOPPING TIME! However this tax return will sadly go mostly to bills... I say mostly because well... you see I'm married to a woman and well woman like to shop and if you give a woman with bills $5000 she'll spend most of it on those bills... but lets be real. Some of that is going to mommy and daddy!

Pierced PastorDaniel Hopkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18042986748312402146noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1873429994192882223.post-17326857691144051242009-01-03T11:22:00.003-06:002009-01-03T11:42:06.970-06:00Hit! and miss...So no new tattoo. I didn't have to money plus they wanted to charge me more because of where I wanted to get the tat (my hands). It's all good. Today my church is taking me and my family out to eat! OH YEAH! We're to Bo Lings: the best Chinese food! I still don't know what I'm going to get to eat yet. They have this dish called "Tofu Family Style" that rocks but the are famous for their "General Tso's Chicken" which is one of my favorite Chinese dishes.

It hasn't hit me yet that 2008 in done and gone and here we are in 2009. That may be because I haven't had to go back to work yet. I've thinking a lot lately (a dangerous past time I know) about 2008. My mind seems to be flooded with thoughts of what I didn't do or things that went terribly wrong. One thing that really bothers me is last year I said, "This year (2008) I want to record (professionally) my music." And I wasn't able to do that. Also my back has been bothering me like crazy lately and it really sucks. I hurt so bad all day long and when I lay down at night to sleep I feel like I've been doing manual labor for 14 hours even though that's obviously not the case. This past holiday season was brutal for me, though Christmas eve and day was actually a lot of fun. Joy and I miscarried in November and it ripped me to the core of my very being. I struggled with everything. I just wanted to be left only yet at the same time I wanted to know that there were people with me in all of this. I really started to struggle with who I was. I couldn't do my job anymore and I felt like God was a million miles from me. I felt like this was punishment from God. I felt so much guilt, day after day. It was a really hard time and its one of the reasons I'm glad 2008 is gone and done.

I don't really make "new-year resolutions" but I do try to think about some goals I'd like to do (can't tell you the difference). I've done this off and on for many years but this year I haven't been able to. If I think of anything that I really want to do I may or may not post it... well its time for me to get going....

Pierced PastorDaniel Hopkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18042986748312402146noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1873429994192882223.post-66936999165355653042008-12-29T11:08:00.004-06:002008-12-29T11:29:13.311-06:00A long time ago... I postedBoy oh boy it's been forever since my last post. So much has gone on... good stuff, not so good stuff, and everything in between. Christmas has come and gone and I'm looking to the ever nearing new year. To tell the truth I don't really have anything I want to blog about. Just wanted to write something.

Today I may get a new tattoo but we'll see how that goes. I'm thinking about getting "Love God" on my hands. Deuteronomy 6:5-8 says, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. These words, which I command you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead."

So maybe that. I also want to get my wife's eye's tattooed on me.
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 213px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_PcXFGuKW8SE/SVkIL-zl_5I/AAAAAAAAAIs/J6o8GHjYMCc/s320/100_8579.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5285264639626968978" />

So we'll see which I get (and what I can afford). If I get something I'll be sure to post some pics.

Pierced Pastor...Daniel Hopkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18042986748312402146noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1873429994192882223.post-39642879289997830512008-10-15T18:38:00.006-05:002008-10-15T18:50:09.180-05:00Captain America Movie Hints? You may have already seen this but just in case you didn't I had to share it. Marvel may be trying to hint at a Captain America movie through placing Capt. items in other movies like Ironman and The Incredible Hulk. You be the judge. First a pic from Ironman:
Notice the (incomplete) shield behind Tony Stark?
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_PcXFGuKW8SE/SPZ_tLNPmAI/AAAAAAAAAG0/_uE3N6qp5gE/s400/pseudoblog_ironmancap400.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5257530029080811522" />

Take a closer look:
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_PcXFGuKW8SE/SPaAAAVpy1I/AAAAAAAAAG8/YYfudtSrtps/s400/pseudoblog_ironmancapcu200.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5257530352580807506" />

And in the original opening for the Hulk, Bruce Banner is in the Antarctic (If you get the DVD you can see this opening). Take a look of what or whom is frozen in the ice:

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_PcXFGuKW8SE/SPaAxwaRfYI/AAAAAAAAAHE/d6gi8MMsG9U/s400/pseudoblog_mycap400.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5257531207298678146" />

That's right... it's the frozen body of Captain America!
(Here I outlined it in case you couldn't see it)
<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_PcXFGuKW8SE/SPaBKpYcq9I/AAAAAAAAAHM/-phUiSSwLGE/s400/pseudoblog_mycap4003.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5257531634908703698" />

I'm all for more super hero movies. BTW if you leave a comment tell me your fav super hero movie. Mine? Easy: The Dark KnightDaniel Hopkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18042986748312402146noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1873429994192882223.post-61616594337388167112008-10-09T01:18:00.003-05:002008-10-09T02:07:51.393-05:00Hmmm...I haven't written anything in so long and now it's so late that I'm too tired to think about what to write. Have you watched the debates? i watched part of the first once with McCain and Obama. But I made up my mind waaaaaaayyy before either of the candidates were chosen. Whats my choice? Whoever is running against Obama! So I guess that means I'm voting for McCain. I have many reasons why I would rather take a gun to my own foot than vote for Obama but the main reason is this: He messed with my God! Obama said that Jesus said in His sermon on the mount that gay unions and abortions are okay in God's eyes. Then when asked about what Paul wrote in the New Testament about the subject of homosexuality and the fact the God says it's an abomination, Obama said we should throw that and other things Paul wrote out of the Bible. BLASPHEMY!!! (And no I'm not joking) Do I need a better reason than that to not vote for this crazy ree-ree? No I don't... But trust me there's more reasons to not vote for this over-rated, pretty much glorified talk-show host. I just don't have the time to type em out. Perhaps later.

Bottom line is you don't mess with, or try to put words in my Saviors mouth!

On a lighter note, here's a joke...
Q: What's white and goes up?

A: A stupid snowflake!

Ok how 'bout this on:
Q: Where were Frence Fries first made?

A: In Greece! HAHA!

Alright... This one:
Three rednecks went on a fishing trip when suddenly they drove
off a bridge in their pickup truck.
Butch was driving.
He rolled down the window and swam to safety.
The other two were in the back.
They drowned because they couldn't
get the tailgate down!

No? This one then:
A guy in a bar leans over to the big woman
next to him and says,
"Do you wanna hear a funny blonde joke?"
The big woman replies,
"Well, before you tell that joke, you should know something. I'm blonde, and six feet tall, 210 lbs. and I'm a professional triathlete and bodybuilder.
The blonde woman sitting next to me is 6' 2" and 220 lbs; she's an ex-pro wrestler.
Next to her is a blonde who's 6' 5",weighs 250 lbs., and she's a kick boxer professional. Now, do you still want to tell that blonde joke?"
The guy blinks, swallows, and thinks about it for a secondthen says,
"No, not if I'm going to have to explain it three times."! LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!

Ok last one:
At Sunday school they were teaching how God created everything, including human beings. Little Johnny seemed especially intent when they told him how Eve was created out of one of Adam's ribs.

Later in the week his mother noticed him lying down as though he were ill, and said, Johnny what is the matter? Little Johnny responded, "I have a pain in my side. I think I'm going to have a wife."Daniel Hopkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18042986748312402146noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1873429994192882223.post-59449806825413352312008-09-03T18:21:00.003-05:002008-09-03T18:32:35.400-05:00Kansas City Chiefs Season: What I ThinkGame/ Outcome
1 Sep 07 Chiefs @ Patriots - Lose

2 Sep 14 Raiders @ Chiefs - Win

3 Sep 21 Chiefs @ Falcons - Win

4 Sep 28 Broncos @ Chiefs - Win

5 Oct 05 Chiefs @ Panthers - Lose

6 Bye

7 Oct 19 Titans @ Chiefs - Lose

8 Oct 26 Chiefs @ Jets - Lose

9 Nov 02 Buccaneers @ Chiefs - Lose

10 Nov 09 Chiefs @ Chargers - Lose

11 Nov 16 Saints @ Chiefs - Win

12 Nov 23 Bills @ Chiefs - Win

13 Nov 30 Chiefs @ Raiders - Win

14 Dec 07 Chiefs @ Broncos - Lose

15 Dec 14 Chargers @ Chiefs - Lose

16 Dec 21 Dolphin's @ Chiefs - Win

17 Dec 28 Chiefs @ Bengals - Win

Overall record: 8-8
With out looking at the schedule I guess around 7-9 so we'll see!Daniel Hopkinshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18042986748312402146noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1873429994192882223.post-62433151490841496342008-09-02T17:54:00.001-05:002008-09-02T17:54:45.509-05:00Funny and true...

I have a condition called spinius corpus butius priteasius maxis. Ok so that was so made up. Really though my L5 vertebrae (the very bottom one) is shoved forward pinching a few nerves in the process. I had this injury a while ago but was doing great. Then a few days ago *Crack! Ok so that was a little dramatic... There was no crack. I picked something or someone up and the next morning ouch! The next morning really ouch! The morning after that HOLY OUCH!

It's really hard being a 22 year old with the back of an 80 year old! Well anyway I would appreciate some pray from ya'll...
