Word Vomit

One thing I really find annoying is that whole "Ja" thing. A lot of Christians are starting finish their emails, blog posts, myspace comments with "Ja". If you don't know "Ja" is a Jamaican word for God... Ja... I kinda started to notice people using it when P.O.D. started to get really hot. They use "Ja" a lot. And I just find it really annoying. It's almost like it's not cool to say God or Jesus or Holy Spirit... no, no, no, Ja is cool sounding. I find it really silly to hear "Ja man" come out of the mouth of some white kid in middle suburbia. And most people don't know what "Ja" means. It's a cop out. I got news for some people. There is no such thing as a "Ninja Evangelist"! Who's the salt of the earth? Who a light in this world?

It's like the other day I saw these wristbands at a Christian book store called "Witness Bands"... Really? I guess if I'm wearing a wristband that has a cross etched on it that I must be "witnessing". Or look at it for the other side. Let's say I'm not saved and I've never heard of Jesus. I'm walking down the street and I see this guy or girl wearing a "witness band". All of the sudden I'm overcome with conviction and I just know that there's this guy named Jesus who came and died for me! Come on people! Now I'm not trying to dis Christian fashion, though I do have to say that there are a TON of cheesy shirts out there... But if you actually think you're being a witness for Christ by wearing a wristband with a cross that is a blatant rip-off of the Independent (Skate Boarding Co.) cross, then I would argue that you haven't been reading you're Bible.

Bottom line is you have to at some point open your jaw and flap your tongue around and make sounds that we call words. If not, you may as well be telling your friends, family, co-workers and all the strangers you see who don't know Jesus, "Go to Hell!"

Ja (Hehe)

Dead Zone...

Well no doubt you've seen those new Verizon cell phone commercials that are all about the "Dead Zones". Basically some weird-o's try to creep the Verizon customer out by talking about the DEAD ZONE!!! and then the customer is like, "Oh it's ok... I have Verizon!" LALALA!

Here's why it is THE MOST INACCURATE commercial ever!

1. I used to have Verizon as my cell phone provider and I was always dropping calls.

2. and this one makes me laugh... when my family moved into our new house we moved into a DEAD ZONE! No one has cell service at my house. No one! And so because we were in a dead zone, Verizon let us out of our contract for free instead of the $100 plus bucks they were wanting to cancel! L O L!!!

The votes are in!

Well a while back I held a pole for what I should get next:

A New Tattoo
My Lip Pierced
My Ears Pierced
My Lip & Ears Pierced

and well it really doesn't matter what won because I'm going to all soon. But tonight I'm off to get a few piercings and then... well I don't know what I'll do after that. Watch a movie. Play a game. Go to bed. Ah but not just your normal "watch a movie" or "play a game" or "go to bed" no, no, no, no! "Watch a movie" with new piercings or "play a game" with new piercings or "go to bed" with new piercings! Oh yeah! I'm so cool... Just kidding

I'll post some before and after shots soon... PEACE!!

A Story...

This is a video I made for my wife a few years ago. Enjoy!

And Monday rolls around...

Fog... It's what I see every morning and not just because I'm not wearing my glasses. (Almost) every morning I do the same routine. First, I stayed up WAY too late. Second, I'm woken up by my 3 year old who usually shakes me as hard as she can (with the occasional slap) while whining out: "Daddy! Wake up! Get me milk and cereal!" If that wasn't annoying enough I always hear this click, click, click, click, click, click... that would be my dogs nails clicking our would floor as she walks back and forth waiting for me the let her outside.

Sometimes that fog can really mess you up. One morning while doing that same routine I started down the stairs. I was SUPER tired that day. When I was a little more than half-way down the stairs WOOMPF! I slipped and my feet went vertical and CRACK went my back as it slammed on the stairs. That was not fun.

Most people stay up later on the weekends than they do the rest of the week and I'm no exception. So my Mondays are really foggy and I usually am easy to distract for the first part of the day. My wife can tell you that based on when she calls me and hears: ..................................................................................... Honey? .................................... What? .................................................... CLICK

Well there's is really no point to this blog-post other than to try and take away this brain-fog. Hmm... that reminds me of Joe vs. the Volcano
